Creating a race-against-yourself experience for Nike Run Club, built to motivate PB-chasers during Tokyo’s peak running season
About the project
To align with Nike’s FASTPACK launch and build momentum ahead of the Tokyo Marathon, we created the “Faster Than Fast Challenge” on the Nike Run Club app — a five-week challenge encouraging runners to beat their personal best.
Designed as a race against yourself, the experience helped runners track performance over time, encouraging them to run faster, stronger, and further. Each week, we also introduced “NRC Best Hits,” a curated newsletter of audio runs, running podcasts, and editorial content to help users prepare for race day.
I developed the visual identity of the campaign, drawing from FASTPACK’s signature palette and energy. Using motion blur photography and dust-inspired graphic textures, we created a high-speed aesthetic that visually emphasized the mental and physical push behind personal records.
