Modernizing a teen-focused cosmetic line with minimal, refined design
About the project
RICAFROSH is a D2C beauty brand founded by influencer Yuka Furukawa, with a strong following among Gen Z. I was invited to redesign their packaging across color cosmetics like mascara and eyeshadow palettes. Their previous packaging featured bold, paint-like color strokes — expressive but visually cluttered. My approach was to refine those elements into a more modern, minimal system that still felt playful and accessible. Using soft matte finishes, neutral tones, and clean typography, I established a distinct look that stands out in the saturated beauty market while resonating with RICAFROSH’s online-native
Result
The new packaging helped elevate the brand’s visual identity, supporting product expansion and reinforcing its aspirational yet friendly image among younger consumers.
