About the project
Another Ordinary is a men’s skincare brand born from the frustration of a surfer who couldn’t find ocean-safe products that aligned with his lifestyle. We developed the name, visual identity, and packaging system to reflect a calm, sustainable philosophy: “Feel Blue, Think Green.”
The identity centers around a soft blue gradient that evokes both depth and purity – a reference to the ocean and the clarity of the product’s natural, plant-derived ingredients. White space and minimal typography bring attention to what matters most: transparency, care, and clean design.
Every detail from the recyclable paper stock to the clear labeling of ingredients – supports the brand’s mission to rethink masculinity through quiet strength and conscious choices.
Result
Another Ordinary has been widely recognized for its clarity of concept and aesthetic strength. The project was featured on Adobe Behance and selected for international publication by ‘Counter-Print’ in “Japan Unboxed”, a book exploring the art of contemporary packaging design in Japan. It continues to be shared across design platforms and sustainability media for its unique blend of minimalism and environmental commitment.
